Solar on Low Income Housing Project Begins

Installing the first 12 of 36 inverters

Installation of 133 kW solar electric array began this week on the low income housing project in Hamilton, called Valley Villas. The final system will include 36 separate systems, including 34 apartments and 2 common areas. To make the most of the solar generated electricity the units are being completely upgraded with air source heat pumps, new windows, additional insulation, energy efficient Energy Star appliances and LED lighting.  Read more about the project in the Bitterroot Star.
